Find a new love

People generally define love as a spontaneous emotion and something which cannot be searched for. But that was the old view; the modern view is that love can be found if one searches for it in the right places. One can join group activities which one likes to do and clubs where likeminded people meet and expect to find the love of their life or he can try an online dating service.

An online dating service is basically a platform where one can find different people from different parts of the world having different hobbies. The good thing is that it is completely searchable so that we can search for a person who matches the criteria which we look for in our better half. People post their pictures and their preferences and based on that other people contact them. Once a person likes another, they can exchange phone numbers and take the conversation to the next level. They meet each other and more often than not, like each other (at least for a while), and may decide to continue their relationship or move on to the next. It is not as simple as it sounds, but more or less so.

Express love vs. Traditional love

Previously, love meant an attraction one feels to someone who we meet in everyday life and the other person also felt in a similar way. And love was allowed to blossom, where people took each other on candle lit dinners, to watch plays, to the amusement park, etc. But today all that love happens over the phone and very less time is spent in each other’s company, thanks to the hectic life styles which people like to maintain. A true comparison can never be made as the circumstances earlier were very different from what they are now, but one can only think how traditional love would have been.

Escape to a women shelter

A woman’s shelter is a place where a woman can stay temporarily when she is trying to escape from a violent situation at home or from a rape. Cases of violence and rape are constantly in the news against young females and are not dealt with in the right way most of the times. The majority of the times, the reason is that the woman is afraid to complain against the person who has put her in that situation as it is somebody close or somebody with power.

A woman’s shelter can be a refuge for a woman to stay in for some time and collect her thoughts before she can take the appropriate course of action. She can either complain to the authorities or she can escape from the domestic shelter where she was abused and go to a new place for a fresh new beginning. This place gives her enough time to recover from her abuse and think about what she wants to do in the future. Apart from providing a shelter, these places also provide with counselling to recover from the trauma and education about the crimes for which a woman can go to the law and seek justice.

Trauma

The trauma that is caused to a victim of domestic violence is very great and takes a while before the woman can recover and see things as they are. In some cases it is so extreme that it scars the victim for the rest of his life and she cannot forget it. But most of the times, with the right counselling and guidance the victim can overcome this trauma and come back to a sane state of mind. Woman’s shelters can be found online as most of them have a website or at least a mention somewhere on the web.

Break up via SMS: Pro and con’s

In this age of technology, where one can do anything and everything on mobile phones from watching live television to applying for a job, is it really worth breaking up on the phone? We discuss the pros and cons of breaking up on mobile phones in this article. On the one hand, breaking up with your boyfriend or girlfriend via an SMS avoids a lot of emotional drama, the flipside is that the breakup might not go so smoothly and it might backfire in the form of a negative image in the society and one might come to regret it later on. But nowadays breaking up via SMS has become the norm.

Most old school people regard breaking up on the phone as insensitive and cowardly. As that might be, it is very convenient and can be done at a second’s notice. And the best part is you don’t have to worry about the reaction of the other person and keep losing sleep about what has to be said and how it has to be said.

Outcome

The outcome might be a lot of different things depending on whether it is a guy or a girl, their current emotional state, their ability to handle such kind of situations, etc. A typical outcome is the other person calling up and speaking a lot of unpleasant words and not ever calling back. It can also go to one extreme in which the other person might wish to remain a friend, or the other extreme in which he/she comes to your house or someplace where he/she knows you will be there and creates such a bad scene that it is not forgotten for a few months.

Either ways, breaking up via the phone by sending an SMS has its pros and cons, and they are pretty much balanced at the moment. So, it really depends on the individual’s personal choice.
